A WYCHMERE BEACH CLUB CELEBRATION IN HARWICH PORT, MA

It was a beautiful day in December when Grace + Riley said, “I do.” But that wasn’t the original plan! When I first met with this charming couple, they had a May celebration in mind. However, when they decided to postpone due to Covid concerns, we were able to create the winter wedding of their dreams!

Though we had already come up with a concept for a Springtime soirée for these high school sweethearts, we loved revamping the entire design plan to go with the winter season. Because the weather was so beautiful, they were still able to have their first look and gorgeous portraits outside on the boardwalk!

Grace was stunning in her Watters gown from Vows Bridal, with lace bodice and sleeves, a cathedral-length veil nestled in her chic chignon, while Riley cut a dashing figure in his classic black tux.

We transformed the Wychmere Beach Club into a winter coastal wonderland with gorgeous lighted branch tablescapes, white Chiavari chairs, table runners, and pillar candles shimmering behind pleated glass. Gold mercury glass compotes held bouquets of white and pink roses, as well as lush greens and red blooms.  Atop the gold-rimmed china plates sat deep blue napkins and classic “old-school” matchbook favors with Grace + Riley’s names and wedding date. 

As the sun set, the candles and chandeliers cast a warm glow over the room where guests celebrated and danced with Grace + Riley who were so glad to have finally had their special day!

Over the past two years, Covid has forced many couples to postpone their weddings. But we are so happy to help them to create the event they always wanted, just a little later than planned! 

Congratulations Grace + Riley! We loved playing a small part in your big day!
